CHICAGO, IL – April 4, 2011, Chicago-based SJM Design is excited to announce the addition of Creative Director, Katie Klencheski; expansion to a New York location; and the company’s new name: SM&KK Studios.

Tapped to lead SJM Design’s expanding design team from the company’s new New York-based studio, Katie Klencheski has almost a decade of experience as an Art Director and Designer with expertise in branding and advertising. A graduate of Tufts University in affiliation with the School of Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Katie has worked with a range creative agencies including, Gotham, Ogilvy and AgencySacks. She brings her breadth of experience working with world-class brands, like Sony, the Trump Organization, Cartier and American Express, among others, in brand development, advertising, identity, print and interactive design.

To reflect the significant expansion in capabilities represented by Katie’s contribution to the organization and the addition of our New York location, SJM Design is changing its name to SM&KK Studios.

Existing clients can expect the same customer-focused personal level of service SJM has always provided, but with an even higher-quality product thanks to SM&KK Studios’ expanded design team.

Scott Monaghan will continue to head up the development team from SM&KK’s Chicago-based studio and is available to answer clients’ any questions or concerns regarding the transition.
